DIPS College of Education is a pioneer educational institution and has been recognized as the hub of quality teaching learning .Teacher education at DIPS College of Education is a unique amalgam of traditional and futuristic vision .Located in the heart of Dhilwan township. It began its’ life journey 4years ago since then, the college has established itself as a leading institute in the field of teacher education. Ofcourse as a new sapling planted in the nursery of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Educational Trust(Regd.).  DIPS College of Education is growing in leaps and bounds, under the patronage of our worthy chairman S.Gurbachan Singh ji. At present it is imparting quality education to the 100 future teachers ( 02 Units of 50 each ) and grooming them to be the effective teachers of tomorrow .The management is aspiring hard, rather hopeful to increase the number of B.Ed seats to 200 and to upgrade the status of the college by introducing M.Ed course in the college. Focus of the management here is to enhance research by installing a research study centre.

Located on Jalandhar –Amritsar Highway College is about 49 Kms away from Amritsar and near about 45 Kms from Jalandhar, on National Highway–1 approximately2.5 Kms from Dhilwan toll plaza, in the lap of Dhilwan. Though its location is far away from maddening crowd of the city, yet it provides an easy access to the students from far flunked areas. Achieving excellence in education and helping students in flowering their latent talents and to imbibe innovative teaching skills &, abilities among them, is the noble dream of the institution.

The college provides well-furnished infrastructure as per norms of National council for Teacher Education and Expectations of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar to which it is affiliated. In this effort the college has gone for the coveted NAAC accreditation and duly awarded same.

Well furnished infrastructure of the college provides an ideal ambience for high-quality educational programmes. The College has a huge campus of 3 acres with lush green lawns, well–equipped computerized office, library equipped with internet facility, reference and text material, dictionaries and encyclopedias, internet cyber centre with broad band facility, multipurpose hall and labs   such as Computer Lab, Technology Lab, Science Lab and Psychology lab. Constant efforts are made to provide congenial, healthy, and hygienic environment for the staff and the students .

8.         To instile the sense of responsibility among the student teachers.

9.         To enable the student teachers to reflect upon the environmental and social issues.

10.       To bring awareness about latest ICT development in Education.
